PIPPIN - - Our story's young and confused protagonist.
He is longing to find his purpose in life.
Naive, innocent, and discontent.
The elder son of Charlemange.
A dapper young prince who, though well educated, is naive to the ways of the world.
While he drips with innate charm, he is still desperate to find something that makes him feel “completely fulfilled.”
Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo.

CHARLEMAGNE - Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, and demanding father to Pippin and Louis.
Steadfast in his choices and proud of his achievements, even those he achieved through violence.
A loving, though neglectful, father to Pippin.
Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread.
He wears his years with great pride.

LEWIS - Charlemagne and Fastrada’s son.
Strong and not bright.
Pippin’s younger, halfbrother and after Pippin, heir to the throne.
Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weight lifting, Lewis loves wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis.
Requires good physicality.
What he lacks in talent he makes up for in undeserved confidence.
Total mama’s boy.

BETHE - Pippin’s saucy grandmother ejected by Fastrada.
The epitome of living life to the fullest.
Effervescent and crude.
The person you go to for good advice or a great hug.

She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest.

The heart of the show.
She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance.
Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him.
