Footloose

Based on the popular 1984 film, this musical follows Ren McCormack, a city teenager who moves with his mother to a small, conservative town where dancing and rock music have been banned by local ordinance after a tragic accident years earlier. As Ren clashes with the town's stern minister, whose own grief over his son's death fuels the ban, he also falls for the minister's rebellious daughter and rallies the town's youth to fight for the right to hold a senior prom. The show blends the film's beloved pop-rock soundtrack, including the title song and Let's Hear It for the Boy, with themes of grief, generational conflict, and the healing power of self-expression. It's a high-energy, feel-good celebration of youthful rebellion tempered by genuine emotional reconciliation between parents and children.
