Scholarships
The Board of Directors shall grant scholarships in memory of Ruth Burnett. Up to two (2) grants of up to $500 each may be made each spring, depending on suitable candidates and availability of funds. Eligible students shall be new graduates of high schools in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties, or Delmar and home-schooled students who will be entering a post-secondary institution who reside in the above areas. Criteria for receiving an award include intention to study in the area of theatre, financial need, and prior participation by the student or his or her family in Players’ productions.

Isabel Cockey
2026 Scholarship Award Winner
Isabel made her Players debut in the 2019 production of Matilda: the musical and had gone on to be part of several other productions with us. She Isabel will be studying the Great Books curriculum at St. John's College in Annapolis, while continuing to play fiddle and sing with her family's bluegrass ensemble The Folk Villains.

Adithya Bhaskaran
2026 Scholarship Award Winner
Adithya made his Players debut in the 2019 production of Matilda: the musical and have gone on to be part of several other productions with us. He will be pursuing a Music Education major at Towson University this fall.
Lifetime Achievement
Lifetime Membership may be granted by the Board of Directors, and all rights of Individual Membership will be given with dues payment waived. To be eligible for Lifetime Membership, a person must be at least 60 years old and have been a member for at least 20 years. A letter of recommendation from a member must be submitted to the Board of Directors by the August meeting. A nomination must be made by a Board of Directors’ member based on that letter of recommendation. Voting will take place based upon these nominations. No more than two Lifetime Memberships shall be awarded in any year.
