The Importance of Being Earnest

Directed By:

Community Players' Theater
Jack and Algernon are both hiding something. Gwendoline and Cecily are both engaged to a man called “Ernest”... or so they believe. Who is the real Ernest? Will any of these young lovers find a happy ending in marriage, or will the imposing Lady Bracknell put a halt to their plans? And where have all the cucumber sandwiches gone?? Oscar Wilde’s perennially popular farce, billed as “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People,” delivers satirical critiques of Victorian manners and gender conventions with Wilde’s trademark wit and humor.
